DAY 1

- Leave Moscow for Vladimir. (190 km). The city of Vladimir in 12-14th centuries was the capital of Russian State. Its unique historical and architectural monuments of 12-th century: The Golden Gate, the Cathedral of Assumption and the Cathedral of St.Demetrius testify to the former beauty and power of the ancient Russia.

  • Lunch in the restaurant of Vladimir.

City tour including The Cathedral of St.Demetrius and the Golden Gate.

  • Departure to Suzdal (30km).
  • Accommodation in the hotel “Kuchkov’s house”/ “Rizalit”
  • Dinner with russian cousine. Facultative: Choir concert / Folklore concert

DAY 2

  • Breakfast (continental)

- Sightseeing in Suzdal . Suzdal is ”a museum in the open air”, the most famous town

in the Golden Ring with magnificent monuments of Russian architecture 13-18th

centuries.

Sightseeing includes the visit to Kremlin (Cross Chamber, The Cathedral of

Nativity inside); Museum of wooden architecture or the Monastery of Our

Saviorand St.Euphemius (visitors of the monastery can also enjoy the bell ringing)

  • Lunch in the restaurant
  • Transfer for Kostroma.(180km)
  • Accomodation in the Hotel “Volga”-renovated rooms / Motel”Intourist-Kostroma”
  • Dinner in the restaurant of the hotel

DAY 3

  • Breakfast (continental)

Kostroma is located on the banks of the Volga river 330 km northwest of Moscow. The city was founded in 1152. The principal attraction is the Ipatiev Monastery - Tzars Romanovs’ dynasty cradle. Michael Romanov, the first of Romanov dynasty, was called from there to become tzar of Russia

  • Sightseeing tour with a visit of Ipatievlky Monastery with the magnificent Trinity Cathedral.
  • Transfer to Yaroslavl(76km). Yaroslavl, founded in 1010 by Yaroslav the Wise, is the oldest city on Volga. The most ancient buildings of town are located at the Monastery of the Savior.
  • Lunch in the restaurant of Yaroslavl.
  • City tour of Yaroslavl visiting the Monastery of the Savior and the church of Elijah the Prophet . The church is a fine example of Yaroslavl architectural style of the 17th century,

erected for one of the richest and most influential Russian families of that time.

  • Hotel accomodation in “Yubileynaya”(renovated rooms)/ “Sport”
  • Dinner in the restaurant

DAY 4

  • Breakfast (continental)
  • Departure Yaroslavl to Rostov-the Grate.
  • City tour in Rostov the Great. Rostov is well known for its unique Metropolitan House, or Rostov Kremlin 15-17th centures with dozens of churches, chambers and towers beatifully decorated with colored frescoes and tiles. The Assumption Cathedral contains a famous bell loft, the visitor has the opportunity to listen to the real bell music of ancient

Russia.

  • Lunch in the local restaurant.
  • Departure for Moscow with a stop in Pereslavl-Zalessky to see the wonderful architecture

of its historical center with the Saviour-Resurrection Cathedral of 12th century.
